It’s our mission to make a positive difference here at home and in the world beyond. We roll up our sleeves and dig in, praying that God will use us to make a meaningful impact where it is needed most. Every time we do, we find that it makes us pretty happy, too.
We aim to serve our church, our neighbors, and our community while contributing to national and international causes such as education in Africa, reducing malaria, and providing support when disasters occur. We invite you to be a part of the joy we’re bringing to others in the name of Jesus Christ by volunteering here in Edgewater. Not a member of Joy Reigns? No problem! We often have friends and family join us in our service ministry. If you’d like to participate in our service ministries or suggest another opportunity for us to help others, please contact us.
Making cookies, tending to animals in need, creating care packages -- there are endless ways to put our hands, minds and feet to good use. We'll never forget the day we joined forces with 58,000 Lutherans to make a difference around the globe. We rolled up our sleeves and jumped in for a joyful day of service right here in our community.
For the past several years, Joy Reigns members and friends have become involved in Habitat for Humanity. We’ve helped to build houses in Brooklyn, Freetown, Shadyside and Annapolis.
Every month on the fourth Sunday, our middle school youth make 100 lunches for the Lighthouse Shelter.
Each year, our youth travel to work on service projects. Most recently, they went to West Virginia to make a difference for families in need.
