Joy Reigns loves us anyway
I love Joy Reigns because of its scripture without stricture. No matter an individual’s background, beliefs, or burdens, Joy Reigns opens its doors and provides a place for people to be themselves.
Joy Reigns knows that Kat and I are two parents with full time jobs, blessed with two young, rambunctious little ones with demands which keep us apart from the more engaged part of the church community. Joy Reigns loves us anyway and is always happy to see us, not keeping us at arms length, or placing designations on us, but loving us whenever they get the opportunity.
The baby pantry is in the same category as helping widows and orphans in my opinion. I can’t imagine the thought of children being so disadvantaged that they sit in their own filth. It pains me. So monthly we do this important work, to help local families. This is my favorite way of trying to follow what Christ called the second greatest commandment.
I love my church and thank God for Joy Reigns.
