In-Person Worship
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a Joy Reigns regular and asked to sign in. This helps us know how many people were in worship and connect with newcomers. After that, please help yourself to refreshments from the back table, and then sit anywhere you like.
At Joy Reigns, we are more concerned with letting the Holy Spirit work inside us than we are with outside appearances! There is no dress code: from loungewear to jeans to business casual, you’ll see that everyone wears whatever makes them most comfortable. Some love to clap or raise their hands to the worship music, while others prefer to just listen. Children are warmly invited to sit with their families if they choose - we know their wiggles are holy and good! We also have a “prayground” area and a nursery for those who prefer. We ask caregivers to accompany their children to these areas.
We have many options for those onsite who want to participate in leading the service. Communion servers prepare and help distribute this holy meal. They also greet people as they arrive. Worship leaders share announcements, read the day’s Scripture lessons, lead the prayers, and help serve Communion. Counters work together after the service to count the offerings received that day. The praise band leads the congregation in worshiping God through song. If you’d like to participate in worship, please ask any one in the congregation - we can all point you in the right direction! Our building features a main entrance with a small step up, and a flat entrance is also available. We offer a single-stall restroom with a changing table as well as multi-stall gendered bathrooms. Worship includes a praise band amplified through stage monitors and colored lights that do not flash. Our worship space is well-lit.
